Valentin Tszin Dancing
Role: event production
12 students joined Valentin Tszin for an avant-garde Japanese dance Butoh training session. This intensive, six-day program took place under Valentin's guidance, with additional support from Daniel Williams on sound design, X tin on costume and sound design, Michal Andrysiak on light and set design, Oleg Belolipetsky on video capturing, Michael Tan on visuals, Ksenia Mozhayskaya on animation, Valentin Paster on video documentation and archiving, and Ilya Boordin contributing online generative technologies.
The Butoh Camp in Berlin was not just limited to the six days of intensive training; it also included two additional days for welcoming and farewell dinners, alongside workshops and lectures. These activities were designed to equip participants with both technical and practical tools needed to enhance their understanding and skills in Butoh, and to prepare them for presenting their work at an upcoming hybrid event (both offline and online) scheduled for late November 2020.
During the camp, students began the process of creating their own performances with guidance and support from the instructors. They were set to present their solo works in a public showing as part of the Corona Culture Program at Alte Münze, Berlin.
